Chateau Lamothe Vincent Sauvignon Semillon

Unlike most Americans, who drink good old american beer the 4th of July, we decided instead to have a bottle of french wine... I know, very unpatriotic, but if given the opportunity to try something you've never had before, why not? This particular bottle we picked up in a liquor store in my hometown; Rockville Centre. They have a pretty good selection of wines all over the world, which is great for someone who just wants to try different wines. So getting down to business... we bought a bottle of a semillon and sauvignon blanc blend by Chateau Lamothe Vincent, and brought it to our bbq- i know- very un 4th like. But it was much better than we even thought it would be. These grapes normally used to make Sauternes in Bordeaux make a fantastic wine. Straw yellow with intense perfumes and a medium complexity. Floral and fruity with slight mineral and erby scents. When drunk, we are reminded of these white fruits (peach, apricot) and of its minerality. Definatly soft and welcoming on the palate, with a good freshness that balances out the alcohol. Intense and with a medium persistance. Overall a steal for only $11!

Intenso all`ingresso in bocca e abbastanza persistente.
